Features and Benefits

Replace tape. The Nextend system replaces complex tape configurations that limit the ability to achieve proper visualization of the lower cervical spine and add risk of injury to patients’ skin.

Traction straps. The integrated disposable traction strap gives the surgeon the option to choose either intermittent or permanent traction to gain visualization of the lower cervical spine.

Safe & stable. The Nextend system provides a safe and stable operative surface that eliminates the need for unreliable, time-consuming positioning with tape.

Inclusions:
Nextend System
includes Torso Base, Capula Bolster, Duall Leg Positioner with Straps, Traction Anchor, and one (1) Single-Use Kit.

Nextend Single-Use Kit includes Shoulder Traction Strap, Adjustable Head Support and Arm Straps (Box of 5).

Optional:
Storage & Carry Bag.
Easily store and transport your your Nextend System with this durable storage and carry bag, featuring breathable mesh panels and heavy-duty zippers.

The new positioning standard for spine procedures.

Innovation, together. Working with leading spine surgeons, BoneFoam has developed Nextend Anterior Cervical Positioning System. A simple, stable, and repeatable positioning solution to help create efficiency in the OR and help reduce positioning-related risks to patients, such as wrist dislocation or brachial plexus-type injuries.

Challenges with anterior cervical positioning.

In anterior cervical spine surgery, lower cervical spine visualization is critical. Outdated, makeshift positioning methods and complex tape configurations provides a limited ability to achieve proper visualization of lower cervical spine due to inconsistent and inadequate depression of shoulder girdle.

Better visualization with intermittent and sustained traction.

The Nextend System provides controlled, reliable depression of the shoulder girdle, which directly improves radiographic visualization of the lower cervical segments. Instead of hoping tape holds well enough to pull the shoulders down and out of the image, the system’s traction Y-strap gives surgeons the option of intermittent and sustained symmetric traction, adjustable on the fly regardless of patient size. The result is more consistent positioning of anatomic landmarks and clearer imaging throughout the case.

Premium quality coating makes all the difference.

  • Seamless, fluid-proof coating for superior infection control and easy cleaning
  • Durable dual-layer coating resists wear better than thin single-coat options
  • Radiolucent design remains free of indistinguishable imaging artifacts
  • Non-gel construction avoids risks of sticking or oozing onto skin
