Features and Benefits

HOW TO USE THE ZERO DEGREE KNEE FOR EXTENSION THERAPY

1. Place product on level surface and position your heal in the round opening of the Zero Degree Knee pillow.

2. Do not place anything under the knee. This position will promote knee extension.

3. Keep your toes pointed toward the ceiling in a neutral position, which prevents external rotation of the hip.

4. BoneFoam’s general recommendation is to perform knee extension therapy 3 to 4 times per day for up to 30 minutes or as long as tolerable. Ask your physician or therapist if this plan is right for you.

5. Be patient as this process can be painful for some at first. You are on the path towards regaining your full range of motion.

BENEFITS OF THE ZERO DEGREE KNEE.
The Zero Degree Knee elevates the leg and allows gravity to pull the knee passively and gently into an extended position. Its unique design has been shown to significantly aid in the successful recovery post knee surgery.

1. Promotes full knee extension — ideal for any knee surgery.

2. Increases stability of knee during the critical days after knee surgery. Never rehab with unstable bed pillows again.

3. Prevents external rotation of the foot, which helps keep the knee straight.

4. Simplifies your rehab with a consistent and stable surface.

5. May help with faster knee replacement recovery time and reduce the chance of post-op complications.

6. Keeps the toes pointed toward the ceiling in a neutral position.

7. Prevents internal and external rotation of the foot, allowing for consistent full extension of the knee.

8. Made in the USA with medical-grade materials that are durable enough for prolonged use.

9. Universal use with right or left extremities.

Intentional design with physicians.

Why the heel cut out?
• Aids in extension, flexion, adduction, and abduction

• Elevates with a heel cut to create adequate free space posterior to the knee, to allow for full knee extension

• Keeps the foot in a neutral position

A gently slide to start extension exercises.

Easy-Glide Surface.
The sliding capability allows a patient to work on knee flexion exercises to help restore range of motion. Failure to practice extension within the first few weeks of recovery, could cause a setback and cause long-term adverse effects to the knee.

Stabilize your knee during rehab at home.

Consistent rehabilitation at home is critical. A stable and effective solution for all exercises during rehab should be prioritized to aid in a patient’s successful recovery.
